Stuffed squid with cat food of your choice, try herring flavor then tie off with elastic.
Sets up a nice chum slick, you will catch if there in the area.

depends...I use to jigg macks at pier and bring them over ocean side and chunk did that for years... bass were on them when they hit the water,, so fresh and bloody... frozen Mack ??? eeaaaa ,,

Native Pogies,,, crunchy when cut... clear glass eyes,, super bloody ... again if the fish are there, they are on them .. Frozen ? eeaaa = toilet paper

Clams aka Snot ,,,with the rubber band are a so good (succesful) because alot of times its the freshest stuff available if everything eles is frozen.. frozen = blood changes....

on the sand
sand eels (lance)

basicly talking dead bait ... not live...(eels)

I've always had good luck with clams and sea worms. Clams off of Duxbury Beach this summer worked well for me. Sea worms in the North River was a ton of fun. I saw guys using eels in the North River and they didn't catch anything. But I've heard nothing but good things about live eels. I gotta try that sometime. What's the secret to rigging them?
