snelling eel hooks and effects of offset eyes

Anyone snell their eel hooks?
Anyone notice a difference tying direct to an offset eye vs. a straight eye? Does the hook point pull at a different angle and is there less gap space hooked on a direct tyed offset eye?

Sooner or later you're going to realize just as I did that there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. - Morpheus
