you cant stop them! I have lost a lot of big stripers. they run and run and over a rock or to and no lure and no 40 lber!
or they head shake it lose. Or I rip it out of there lip!
Or they have spooled me and snap it like a 22 went off. 50 power pro
and 25 mono backing. what braid do you guys use!

60 lb Specron Masterbraid, 50 or 60 lb flouro leaders....backing?? what are you poor??? use only enough backing to cover the base of your spool. power pro is garbage IMO...
Fireline is good too.
