The curse.............
Grass always looks greener.....
Eric Mangini
Romeo Crennel
Charlie Weiss
Translation: more money.
How's that working out for the last coach to leave BC?
Tom Coughlin?
The whole team hates him last I read.
Actually how's that working out for any of them?
The only one that did better was Pete Carroll.
USC ranked in the top three all year.

It's NC State right not NC? I'm surprised they didn't wait till after the bowl game to announce. Sucks for the kids to have that distraction but he probably pissed off the school and threy said "If you want leave so bad, see ya!" Plus he's going to another ACC team! He'll have more recruiting power there though.

A lot more money, closer to his summer home. Coaching a team whose fans actually travel to see bowl games. Gets a good enough record to go to a major bowl but gets the shaft every year, San Francisco, Boise, Charlotte.
No ties here besides the job, who can blame him. He did a great job the 10 years he was here. Never a top 25 recruiting class but always a top 25 ranking. BC Football is what it is. Built to compete at the highest level but not good enough to win it all. 95% graduation rates.
Thanks Coach! Good luck except 1 week a year.
Perfect world, hire from within and the staff remains the same. Cross your fingers.

WFAN in NYC reported that Giants' QB coach Kevin Gilbride has been given permission to interview for the head job at BC.
Gilbride's famous for two things--the develoment of Eli Manning into an erratic, scatter-armed QB, and getting punched in the mouth by Buddy Ryan when they were both assistant coaches for the Oilers.
Lotsa luck, Eagle fans

Jeff Jaggedlittlepillski will lead us into battle. Hopefully BC doesnt lose all of its staff to NC State.
Boy this ACC stuff is fun. Screwy bowls, coach poaching, and we can't even beat up on any of them in hockey.

I was kind of hoping against hope that they'd find a way to make Tom Coughlin an offer he couldn't refuse
