eyes

I have been rehabbing some of my older plugs and I am having great difficulty finding 1/2" eyes. Some of the eye sockets were allready drilled for 1/2" so I drilled the rest 1/2" also. Of the two wholesalers I have accounts with neither stock 1/2" eyes. They have plenty of 3/8" or 6 mm. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

M&D - he had stock last Saturday. Open only on the weekends, but the price of gas is beginning to make the shipping look like a good way to go.

Be careful, 6mm would be 1/4 inch. Your 3/8" eyes would be 9mm and ofcourse the 1/2" would be 12mm.
Some catalogs list the eyes only in metric so you have to pay attention.

slightly off topic, but i use 10mm eyes for my 3/8" eye sockets when i use hard plastic eyes on a wood plug- peen them in with a soft mallet and you will need no glue, just brush a little clearcloat over them when your ready to 'seal the deal' so to speak.... so far not one of mine has fallen out.

Mike at M&D's has them, I bought about 10 packages of 50 from him Saturday. I got all the colors too.

Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.
