Pencil Poppers

I need some help on making fresh water Pencil Poppers.
I have a couple questions.

How do they sit in the water??

What is the angle of the cut on the nose??

How do you work them in the water?

Thanks.

Most pencils sit vertical in the water, straight up and down. Angle on the front varies. I make some for smallmouth fishing that do not have an angle on the front. They'll walk nice, or use them like a traditional pencil. Hard to describe, but basically the pencil is thrashing back and forth as it moves very slowly forward.
