After at least a ten yr hiatus bob is indeed makin lures agian..

wow, i guess he is! Atom types look ggod as well as the darters. Wonder if any shops up here will have them?

I dont know why but for whatever reason, I did very well with Hahn's plugs they were one of my favorites and as you know I dont fish plugs all that often...they scored some real nice fish for me in the 90's..Glad there being made again..

They where one of not many options of wooden plugs besides Gibbs.The finish was poor sometimes the paint would explode off as soon as it hit the water.I don't think they where sealed.U had to have several in the rotation as when they got waterlogged they became useless.Guys would return em to my friends shop an I would get em as he did not want to send em back to Bob.I lost a real good fish on a big white pikie before I knew what I was doing.One of them lesson fish.I can still see it in my mind.Seemed that once he stopped makin em they became more popular.My critique may seem harsh but I am still a big fan.

I know of two shops in CT. that have them nether one is a sponser here so I won't post it but they are out there.

yes this is true, but back then it was nice to take other wood up them island an around falmouth to fish.
they did fall apart fast but still was nice. the ol pickem up an feel werked real good to pick the ones u wanted out

Take note that some of these 2nd edition Hahns are a bit different from the original one's. I noticed that the Large Montauk Darter from the 90's are a little longer and wider..I heard the same in regards to the bottles that the specs are different and I havn't seen any needles available just yet..
The snakes are nice....

Prices are @ throw-back amounts compared to todays standards,
which is also a good thing...

Capt. Don use to have a huge selection in his old shop. I remember one Oct morning in the late 80's/early 90's there was a huge blitz at Watch Hill. The only thing the bass would eat were Bob Hahn darters. Lots of 30's went to there grave that morning eating them

I was in Sport Fishin' in New Bell, PA today. The owner said he just went throuh 500 of the newer Bob Hahn's. Still had some of the smaller swimmers and poppers left. Had some other hard to find stuff but I ain't sayin what.
