The greatest Male voice of all time, hands down has to be Freddie Mercury.
Female, maybe Linda Ronstadt.
He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.
Thomas Paine

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

These suck - Joe Cocker, the guy who sang for canned heat, Janis Joplin, Moby (although I like him) robert plant, Mick Jagger, paul kantner, any of the monkees, Eric Johson,
Good singers - Tony Bennet (don't really listen to, but can sing), Marcy levy (marcella detroit) or whatever she goes by lately, Enya , celine dion.
I don't listen to any in the second group, I guess what I call good bands can't sing?
Don't laugh, but McCartney had a great set of pipes. He could sing silly love songs, but listen to him wail on stuff like Helter Skelter and Oh, Darlin' Another one from the "gimmee a break" wing of rock music was Gary Puckett of the old Union Gap--their music sucked but the guy had a great voice.
David Clayton Thomas of Blood Sweat and Tears
And please--don't embarass most of the rock singers by comparing them to even an average jazz artist
Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.
My favorite rock singer is Trent Reznor, one of the few singers who can keep a tone while screaming. Amy Lee of Evanescence has a great voice and is great to look at, but is inconsistant. Bill Withers' voice always stops me while I'm skipping through the radio, has some good ones on youtube as well. Freddie Mercury has an awesome voice, as does the lead singer from ACDC(can't remember his name right now)
I grew up in the late eighty's and there wasn't any decent music that was new when I was a kid, and the rock scene wasn't all that impressive when I was in high school(grunge) so I listen to a pretty broad spectrum of music.
Best male voices ...Freddy Mercury/Queen, Paul Stanley/Kiss, David Lee Roth/Van Halen, Steven Tyler/Aerosmith, Jon Bon Jovi, Elton John, Teddy Pendergrass, Neil Young, Bob seeger, and don't laugh now ... Prince.
Best female voices ... Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Leanne Rymes, Cher, Madonna, Patsy Cline, Anne Wilson/Heart, Cyndi Lauper, Celine Dion, Deborah Harry/Blondie, Selena, and of course Jennifer Lopez.
My .02
Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.
For a beautiful voice , I like Dolly Parton. every time I say that people say i like her boobs but in fact i don't like big boobs. However , i do think she has a beautiful voice.
now , with so many artists from all over the world and all the different styles , etc , there are some beautiful vocal acts out there.

i also like Enya.
The Dolly brought clairity to me, if their singing like they enjoy it it just sounds better. dont care for anyone that acts like it hurts or its a job.
that goes for any style, etc. must be why i like the sound of steel drums. dont worry be happy.
I in now way like country music in any form but......probably the most "beautiful" voice by far is Alison Krauss. She really does have an incredible voice.Listen to her with Union Station, incredible to say the least.Would love to hear her do a Maiden song .
but my fav all time singers are the following (some are rock singers some are not but they are all acknowledged as influencing music today)
David Bowie ( Alladin Sane was his best work vocally especially "Time")
Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music ( Listen to "Avalon")
Roger Daltrey ( Nothing compares to "Who's Next" aka "Lifehouse" "Behind Blue eyes")
Robert Plant ("Battle of Evermore")
K.D.Lang (Ingenue and Shadowlands "Black Coffee")
Ricky Lee Jones ( "Making Whoopee")
Loreena McKennit ( "All Souls Night")
Frank Sinatra (Anything from the 50's and 60's)
Bobby Darin ( "Mack the Knife")
Lou Rawls ("Willow weep for me")
Marvin Gaye ( "What's goin on")
Aretha Franklin ( "That's what I'm gonna do")
Warren Zevon ("Splendid Isolation")
Bob Marley ("Wait in Vain")
Bob Seger (Slim Whitman's classic "Blame it on the Moonlight")
