why i release all fish

When iwas reading the thread about the price per pound of stripers i started to think. a 34" fish round up to 20 #

Overhead as follows: 21ft walkaround with gps radio, fish finder, coat guard package ect. $30,000.00
Slip at B dock for the season $1,500.00
Gas and oil $700.00
6 rod and reels $1100.00
3 full lure boxes $500.00
Bait $20.00 a trip $300.00
Subscripition to fishing mags. $100.00
Boat insurance $500.00
Blown off days at work (3) $600.00
Blown off days with wife $??????????
Time fishing with 2 sons that are now men $priceles
Overhead total $ 35300.00
20 # fish works out to$1765.00 per pound
I'm just a working guy and can't afford to keep it

where there's little fish, there's big fish

Gret accounting

Kenny, you seem to be instilling a great value to your sons... nice.

I'm thinking the added cost for blowing off the wife has to double the figure in the off season.

spending the winter remembering-
scream of a drag as you finish lunch and dive for the rod
flat morning ride to your favorite secret spot
telling fish stories durring the superbowl half time
spending your tax return on a new reel that costs more than some of the cars you have owned

priceless......................................... .....

The $16 a pound is what the fish market will sell it to you for. Yu selling to them is like $2.75/lb if you are lucky.
