Ok let me preface this report by saying it is 2nd hand, but a fisherman friend told me that a couple of days ago he was going over the Jamestown bridge and saw "a school of pogies 2 football fields long" heading north. I know they have been on the north end of Long Island for a couple of weeks now so it's possible. Anyway......it's time!! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Bunker are definitely around the east end of Long Island. I just received word of the first weakfish @ 15 lbs taken by one of the commercials!

Maybe all that wind and weather had something to do with it.

I can't wait to get out there this weekend. Is a castnet effective for getting bunker as well?
