Lightbulb Newport area

I am heading down to newpor tuesday to do some fishing with my unce from is boat. Does anyoe know any good lures,baits, etc to use in that area from a boat. Lokng for stripers and bluefish.

We do not have any fish in RI....Especially in the Newport area....

the blues and bass were in front of the "house on the rock". they were popping all around chasing baby menhaden. i was drifting eels got some good size bass, but would like to try plugs or poppers. couldn't bring the entire arsenal on the kayak, but i would try plugs and tube&worm, then eels when it gets dark. good luck...
