Yard Sale (fishing stuff)

I won't be using any gear until atleast Sept and bills won't wait so I am getting rid of a bunch of gear.

Way too much gear to list, but could very well be worth your time to make a ride. A few rods, a reel or 2 and a couple of bags, probably over 110 plugs hanging. Come get it, prices will be more than fair.

(My quadricep is disconnected from my knee, so this is the only reason I am doing this)

I guess I should have put a date. Sat 5/12 8AM till ?

Plugs are more like 70 hanging. Maybe I was seeing double.... Actually it started at about 110 or so and is now at like 70. I probably had 135 or so before I pulled 25 or so for me to keep to be able to hopefully fish in Sept.

They stitched my skull back up and no internal bleeding so that is great. My knee is another story. I went to the orthropedic surgeon today and he said my quad is not attached to my knee anymore. I go and see the guy who will do the cutting on the 18th and probably get cut the following week. They need to cut the top of my leg down9middle of quad area) to approx the bottom of my kneecap to re attach everything. He had me go for an MRI today too to make sure there isn't any other cartelage or tendon damage. Could have been a lot worse though. I could have been taking a permant dirt nap.

Dave,

We'll keep envisioning you back to your normal self ready to fish and all ... it's scary to think of the alternative, good luck on your speedy recovery.

The X ray showed all bones correct. It is just that the muscle isn't attached anymore and (there is a gap between the quad and my knee cap) recovery time is 3 months give or take from when they cut.

The doc was holding my knee and checking it out and he says " well you won't be playing football anymore....." I wanted to laugh as I haven't played any of that in over 20 years. He did say that prognosis for a just about full recovery is very good though. Looks like skiing may be out too though.

Best of luck Mac. Do the rehab, man. Been under the knife four times on right knee, still ain't right, never will be without a replacement, but tha's another story.

I know a place and group of guys that could chaifeur you around to a couple of spots in a golf cart come September.....

Can't make it this Saturday.....and am sorry about that, but......

Keep your spirits up, Dave. Glad you didn't have a seroius head injury with permanent damage!

hang in there

Dave,

best wishes on a speedy and full recovery. One thing i will agree with from a post above. Do the rehab just like they tellya. and wait till they say go on doing other stuff. Twice i've done too much before released for regular duty and ended up having to start all over again. sometimes, hard heads don't pay off.

I might be small.... but I'm slow.

Like I said Mac, sorry to hear this, it sucks but like you said , atleast you're above ground still. You'll get through this I'm sure Mac.
remember, if you are selling that 11 footer - I have my name on it

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
