Then you should leave the trailer at the ramp attached to the truck instead of unhitching the trailer at the ramp and leaving it under the boat, get better speed too
CS - that's S W E E T and why I want one , plus, it';; be safer for my son and the wife will have less chance of getting sea sick in the Bay

Sweet boat CS. I was driving behind a SeaCraft 23??? inboard (red hull) the other day on rt.1 . What an awesome, massive boat. I followed it for 30 minutes daydreaming and ended up in Conn.

Seacrafts are definitely worthy hulls of much love.
It may cost you more money in the long run doing a restoration, but then you get EXACTLY what you want. Beleive me, after owning a production boat, I'll definitely do a restoration (god no not wood) or a custom boat. There's just too many little factors that you miss out on otherwise.
Friend of the old man has a Seacraft 23 down in Sandwich basin, the house is actually a porta potty from the power plant that he decided would make a nice doghouse for the boat...
Cheers
Ted

Thats definitely a gorgeous job refurbing that Sea Craft...
Its great to see em now and then or have the Mako sitting next to one down at the Shipyard and not be able to compare vintage...
And I think you'd need to pry the seacraft a la crappah from his cold dead hands
That man can still come out of the canal and one cast a keeper...
Some people are just meant to be legends

I love sea-crafts...they can take a hell of a beating. Nice ride. Needs lots of power and fuel to move that V but it is worth it.
I am thinking of getting a 31 Ocean Master or 30' Black Watch this winter...we'll see how the budget looks post Xmas.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. And yes, their far better than when they were new. These boats you can truly call your OWN.

What???????? Not the "Litle Sister's Charters" boat (picture hanging on Ron's shop's door? )- it's not a real Seacraft - heck, it's hardly an imitation... A 22 Pequot I think

Boy, I have to wipe the drool off my face now ;-). I have loved those seacrafts since I worked at Outermost a number of years. We had a lot of customers who ran them. Some day.
Interesting quote I ran across just today in an ariticle online on Sportfishing Mag.com about small boats the author quoted:
"Bill Potter, boat builder and designer of the original Sea Craft and Hobie Power Skiff hulls"
This was news to me and I own one of the Hobie Power skiffs. So I guess I can consider it my 'little sea craft' at 15ft. Maybe if I nurture it it will grow up to be a nice big 23' footer ;-).
By the way I love the yellow!
