Gloucester Drawbridge Schedule
Anyone happen to know the schedule for the drawbridge in Gloucester on Stacey Blvd? How early does it operate? It's high tide at 4:30 AM Sunday morning so I doubt I can get under it.

I have heard that as of midnight 8-8-07 the bridge is closed indefinately do to under mining of the soil below the bridge operators shack. The bridge is supposed to remain in the closed position for road traffic only and they are not allowing any boats through the cut.

SPEEDY is CORRECT! I was just going to make a new thread but meh, here is fine.
The guy I know that works the cut said they told the guy that was on duty to get out of the shack his life was at risk!!!
I guess there is so much errosion that just the boat chop going through is concern that it might colapse!
Just my luck too, just moved the boat back to Gloucester for the rest of the season.....and alot of good spots I like frequent. YANKEE FLEET must be PISSSSSSSSSED

The sign at Grant Circle in Gloucester says "closed to all" .
I've been told that no boats - no matter the size will be allowed through.

So, you have to take the Annisquam Northward, and travel completely around to get to the harbor area or any southern waters? Figures the bridge should have been inspected a few years ago? Must be the same crew as in Minn.
