Welcome to a new S-B Sponsor, Anyfish Anywhere USA

Welcome to a new S-B Sponsor, John Freeze a/k/a Thumb-Burner and Anyfish Anywhere USA! Here is their web site: http://www.anyfishanywhereusa.com/

John has been a S-B member for 3 years (and for a while cornered the market on the classifieds section )

Anyfish Anywhere is a UK company that delivers high quality long distance FISHING rods and gear. Anyfish Anywhere USA is their way to bring these tools here to the US Surfcasters.

"We believe our products offer the best value in the US market today, delivering phenomenal performance and durability at reasonable prices. We offer both fully built rods and blanks. Fully built rods all utilize only the best fuji components. We also offer rainsuits, hats and rig wallets designed by serious fishermen specifically for serious fishermen. "

They are focusing on the Northeast Surfcaster with three rods (in John's words) at the moment;

  • 11’ Estuary – Rated accurately at 1-4 oz. VERY slim and lightweight blank weighing in at 7.5 oz. Firm tip that works great for jigs and tins, but will load great with a bomber and can truly handle 4 oz…
  • 10’9 Uptide – This has quickly become my personal favorite, while still a lightweight slim rod, this one has more power than the estuary.. It will handle up to 5 oz and due to the light action tip (about the top 20”), the rod will load and cast smaller stuff fine as well. I’ve personally hit 154 yards with a 4 Ό oz sinker with this rod with a standard fishing cast. TONS of power in the butt, similar to a 1266 allstar, but much more versatile and a blast to work big swimmers and topwaters with.
  • 12’ Universal – This rod weighs about 2 oz less than the allstar 1418 (11’9) blank that everyone loves for big tins and bait. Like the other rods in the lineup, the ease of casting is unbelievable but the distance is as good as any rod in it’s class. It will load fine with a 2 oz darter or swimmer, but is absolutely stellar with a 3-5 oz tin, or with up to 6 oz and bait. For bait fisherman, I think it would be hard to find a lighter blank that will handle big fish and this weight range any better. While the rod is not rated for this, I casted an 8 oz sinker 125 yards to see if it would do it. It worked great!

They are also associated with some favorite S-B members, like Big Dave, that represent their product lines. Many of you know Big Dave as a class act and one helluva caster

Several S-B members already have these rods and use & like them,

So please welcome S-B's new sponsor, Anyfish Anywhere USA !

Thanks!

John

Yeah, that 13' Surf is a favorite especially when you need to reach way out there. Plus it sure does put a beating on bass. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to plug with a 13 foot rod all night. Now I need get a 50 on the end of my line hopefully before seasons end.

Can't wait to get my 10'9" and put that through the test

The Uptide is a nice blank. Got a blank this spring and built it conventional. Throws 2-4 oz lead and plugs real well. Even some smaller stuff: 1 1/2 oz spooks and pencils. Throws a 3 oz spoon a mile.

Very nice to see the banner up on the site.

I know fist hand all the talk that’s been going on about these rods. I have to say these are some very nice rods. UK performance at USA value, it’s a win; win no matter how you look at them. I have some of these rods that I would really like to show to people around the Ma, RI area.

Anyone that wants to try these rods can PM me and we can work something out. I am only 2 minutes from the RR Bridge at the canal but I have been traveling to RI to fish lately as well.

The estuary is a phenomenal stick for sure. It is light as a feather and excels at everything that been mentioned. people are just going to love this rod.

The Uptide is a very nice rod with tons of backbone that will smoke bigger plugs. It too is very light and has a great tip for working wood. I have used it for jigs in the canal as well.

The 12’ Uni I know, I know a 12 footer. But you just have to handle this rod to believe it. I had guys at the canal casting it with a 3 oz Roberts using an Emblem with braid and everyone that used the rod buy their second cast all had said they have never in their life casted that far.

All of the rods i have are rung dual purpose. I wanted them that way so everyone could give them a go with thier favorite reel.

These rods are the real deal for sure. Those that know me, know I always try and play with the very best equipment around. These are them for sure.

Welcome John Freeze, didn't you used to play back up quarterback for the Patriots? I met you out on Nauset beach one night in 2001

anyway welcome

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

I seriously think it is the most versatile rod i've ever cast.. it will load down to an ounce because the last 18-20 inches of the tip is very flexible.. I put a 125 gram (4 1/4 oz) sinker on mine last week and just wanted to see what it would do... 154 yards over grass with only about a 4 foot drop and a regular ole fishing cast.. i think it will be the bomb for pencils too.

I might be small.... but I'm slow.

OK, so i didn't mention the 13' surf.. without question, casts 2-5 oz as far as any rod i've used and is fun to cast.. but it is thirteen feet.. Andy is young and in shape, unlike me, and the 13' surf is manageable for him.. it is the best rod in the bunch, and has hit nearly 600' over grass already with 4 oz.. the uptide is very similar in a shorter stick.

also the 13' beach is an awesome 6-10 oz rod...

I might be small.... but I'm slow.

Yo John! I had no idea.

Now, you got to come out with a dunk-proof Abu 7500 C3CT like convench with titanium spool rated for 120 lb. braid whose spool rides on plasma ball bearings.
