Ten Hours Till Dawn by Michael Tougias

This book is about the pilot boat CAN DO that went down during the blizzard of February 78. The book is a pretty good read. At the end of the book the funeral takes place for the man who was caught below deck when the boat went down, his name was Charlie Bucko. Charlies father asked the reverend to read the following Tennyson poem at the funeral titled "Crossing the Bar"
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call from me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar.

I 1st saw the show the author was doing on local cable channel a few years ago,
Then I went and saw him in person in Franklin Ma.

Its a pretty easy book to read as oppose to others. But it a great story about a local guy, and the four guys who went with him, who lost his life trying to save others. I haven't read much Tennyson either, and I thought that anyone who enjoys the salt, which is everyone here, would like that poem.

I think I read the boat "Can Do" was eventually salvaged and may be in use of some kind now.

It was salvaged, but to say what happened would give away part of the end of the book.
