Dayoff tuna

I took today off and me and my buddy headed for the NWC. The third guy supposed to come with us got sick and stayed home. We hit the bank early and within 1/2 hr or so first fish on. I pulled a nice fat 45" football prolly around 50-55 lbs over the rail.

Bleed, gut, gill and pack. Lines back in about 45 minutes later.

Not even 5 minutes goes by..........
Bang !!! fish on before we could get the rest of the rigs out.
This one by buddy fought and was close to 48" and maybe 60 lbs.

Couple of more crashes later, but no more hook-ups.
Freezer full of steaks and plenty to give away.

All in all much better than going to work today !!!!!

Both fish on bars. They preferred the 13" to the 18" that morning.

Last year this time they wanted the big ones..

Finicky fish...

Funny cause both fish were taken on my "custom outriggers"
And on the 30s not the 50 in the pic. That was my buddy showing off his new rig !!

But they do need a bit of tweaking..
