First Albie

I caught my first Albie today , the thing blasted out ,almost emptied my reel I was down to my last twenty yards , what a blast .8lber lot of work trying to catch those guys . I think Im hooked on those funny fish .. still like stripers the best .....

i remember my first albie and it was from shore...instantly knew i was into a different type of fish...and i did not see any surface activity so was completely surprised with the furious bone-fish like run...thought i was going to be spooled...those things are bullets...

With the rough water they're being caught from shore across a LOT of the state of RI today as well as the SE Mass coastline.

I got it on a green needle fish reel thin ones about 4-5" long or swedish pimple works I think the needle fish works well
