My heart goes out to the tens of thousands of people affected directly in NY, DC and PA. This is going to be a very difficult day for them and I hope they feel all the support coming from every corner of the globe today.

Very solemn in NYC today, strange, wife wanted me to stay home but have 3 meetings must attend and told her we shall not live in fear, around this time last year pandamonium in Manhattan, undescribable. I actually saw N. Tower buckle - it just collappsed and I 'll never forget where I was on 45th and 5th, like a movie but real life, we shall "never" forget! I leave you all with this quote:

IN a recent interview General Norman Schwartzkof was asked if he thought there was room for forgiveness for the people who have harboured and abetted the terrorrists who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks on America. The General's response:

"I BELIEVE THAT FORGIVING THEM IS GOD'S FUNCTION. OUR JOB IS TO SIMPLY ARRANGE THE MEETING."

Be well today fellow striperman/woman,

ICE

Great poem Van.
Great quote Iceman6.

I too will not forget where I was on 9/11 when I heard the news shortly after 8:46. I also will never forget where I was at 12:09.

Amen and God Bless.

God Bless America, and all American's everywhere.

I fashion myself as somewhat of a pacifist and by no means endorse violence. As such, the events of last September were haunting to me as I am sure they were to everyone else.

Having said that, however, may I state that we never lose site of these atrocities. As much as I hate to say this, we have been drawn down into a low level of hatred by these people, and IMO, eradication of them and their cause is the only way for us to fullfill the promise of freedom to our children and the generations to come.
Let's not lose focus that these people desperately want to kill all of us, and may we have the fortitude to get them before they can ever get us again. Good will always triumph or evil, no matter the sacrifices the good must make.

Revenge is best when cold blooded

I have a family member who fought in Afghanistan. After a few Labor Day beers he shared this story with me.

His team was assigned to clear a cetain valley up in the mountains. They were a "sweep" team, the mission was to sweep the Al Quida out one end of the valley. They completed the mission with determination and tenacity. No wia or kia. When the team reached the end of the valley they were shocked to find bodies everywhere, they counted over 70. They thought that some one had called in a airstrike, but there was no sound of explosion or jets. At this point they got on the radio to report in and find out what happend. Unknown to the team a sniper had been choppered in before the sweep and was postioned over a mile away. His tally for the day 72 dead. It was a good day.

Let's raise our glass to the men that are still over in that #^&#^&#^&#^& hole, taking care of business, while we fish and enjoy all that this great country has to offer.

Just thought I would share with ya, I know I am a day late but it is still relevant. I am studying abroad in Ireland and yesterday they had a memorial at the American Embassy and moment of silence at 1:46, we are 5 hours ahead. Anyways I thought this was very respectfull and very well done. I hope all is well back in the states and catch a few stripers for me while I am away.
