Canal FYI...

This is my first year fishing the canal and from what everyone is telling me the bass have all swam south. I went out last night again just for the heck of it and I pulled three fish in about 2 hours of fishing. Granted largest fish was 26 inches but I did catch and release a keeper size bass 10/31.

Just an FYI for those who are thinking of making a few more trips before packing the gear away for winter.

26"? That fish needs to be 10 inches longer to be a keeper.

Plenty of fish still around. I heard of a bluefish blitz day after the storm on pogies. Today there was a blitz on a south facing beach.

Thanks for the welcome...I've been lurking for quite along time now but hardly ever post.

I live in Worcester but I don't really cook. Long story about the name, its just kind of stuck with me from long ago.

I lost my last black Slug Go Wednesday hopefully I can find another package or two before Saturday night. Does anyone know of any tackle shops that are open in November?

How long can it last?

Just joined the forum. Also just returned to fishing after 40+ year layoff.

Caught a 36" striper in the canal yesterday and saw a 39" striper landed two days earlier. Both after sunrise on an east tide and close to the rocks.

What's the best guess on how long it can last?

This could be near the end, as by this time it is ussually all small fish.
