Gene Ayotte dead

I don't know how many guys on this board knew Gene but he was a fixture at the mouth of Narrow River from 86-87 thru 96-97. He was a Nam vet and a good guy. I fish a lot with him for many years at the mouth of The River. He was an absolute master of the 1/2 oz jig and , even in the lean years, would take a 1/2 dozen fish every morning.
He died Wednesday at the Bristol Vets Home.

RIP Gene. Tight Lines

No boat, back in the suds.

I almost forgot that we use to call him Geno, Mouth of Narrow River. Pun intended.

Sorry for your loss, Piemma.

I'm sure his spirit will live forever in the hearts and souls of those he has touched.

Jigs are killer lures - people often ignore them for fancier things. I've been making myself use them more of the yrs.

Thanks Guys. Geno's death is a loss to the whole fishing community. It's ironic how many guys I have fished with that have passed this year. Geno, Habs, Lanny Gazini just this year. Not one of them over 60 years old. Makes you think about what Clammer says: "Enjoy what you have"

No boat, back in the suds.
