Lead in Batteries

With all the batteries I have laying around you think I be able to get more than 5 bucks for them? Heard about using the lead from the batteries to make jigs w/, 1st neutralize the acid w/ baking soda?

Has anyone heard if this works, and is the end product okay for melting?

Thanks

Dave

i dont like the sound of it

my friend is crazy and does stuff like extracting lead from car batteries and he says that if you really want to do it youll need a huge amount of baking soda to nuetralize the acid. like a couple big containers of it. then ya need to find a place to put the solution. try to wear some thick gloves if you try to do that. id rather just get buck shot, and anyways walking on the beach the other day i found a good 5lb hunk of lead and brought it home thats good enough for wieghing down my lures for life..

live to fish. fish to live. rod tips high.
