Heard on the radio-Iran

has now, according to diplomatic sources, produced the gases which are needed to produce nuclear weapons.

Angry well now

Welcome Back DAVE

that pretty much pries the lid off of the can of paint now doesn't it.

the thought of Iran and Israel trading nukes would create a mega cloud of fall -out that would sail around the world.

i was watching this tv show about the red dust of the African plains or desert
and how it travels to very distant places and fertilizes everything from so very far away...

this radioactive dust cloud would do the same thing except it would be destructive instead of helpful.

Well, I believe they have started a few centrifuges, not the thousands necessary to actually build a bomb.

So far Bush has made it explicitly clear that Iran will not have a bomb, yet done nearly nothing to actually stop them.

This Administration is turning Admibinadghade (whatever) into the next Saddam. Someone nobody actually likes, but is respected simply because they defy the West!

Whatever happened to the art of diplomacy? It sure seems to have worked in Lybia and N. Korea...

You don't think that a Tomahawk personally addressed "To Mohamar with love, from your friends in the US, Ronnie" had a little something to do with Libya falling into line? At least to the extent of having Khadaffi re-think his position?

I'm not saying that diplomacy didn't factor in, but when you start off negotiations and talks with that kind of an introduction, it often helps negotiations and diplomacy reach the desired end

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

I'm sure it helped, but that was also 20 years ago!

That's prob. one of my biggest complaints with our admin. It one thing for guys on S-B to be calling someone the axis of evil, but its another for pres, vp, sec of state, etc. to be doing that.

You can get more with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone.

Next time I meet a WWII vet, I'll explain to him that he really didn't need to be away from home for 4 years, because had we had better leaders, the whole thing could have been resolved diplomatically.

It's exactly this kind of thetoric that pollutes the national dialogue, divides the country and leads to inaction.

In all honesty, I don't think Bush was led by religion nearly as much as he was to make his mark on the World and show up his daddy.

Yep! And he showed he was a bigger screw up than his father.

Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.

Like Teddy Roosevelt said, "Speak softly, but carry a Big stick. "

Never goes out of date.

On one of my Scottish Ancestry placks it has a picture (symbol) of a naked Scottish guy
with a fig leaf over the crown jewels with his head bowed in humility
or in a humble way... but behind his back is this big Barbarian sized club for beaten the crap out the bad guys....
.................................................. .. heh heh heh...

It's something 98% of the population would also agree with
