testor's paint
Will any of them do. I went to the hobby shop this morning and thier were acrylic's, and a couple of other types of bases to paint with. What works the best?
Actually I did mean for dipping to create swirled plugs. Some Testors are water base and do not rise to the top after being poured into the bucket. Some others do rise to the top, but I believe they are oil based.
Yes that redone plug was really nice at plugfest Steve.

I used Testors Acril line of Airbrush paints for the first time this year. (The restored PJCC plug was actually painted with it) I love the stuff, cleans easily and is already thinned for airbrushing.
I spent Saturday afternoon with the wife trying in vain to find the big hobby shop in Hyannis that supposedly carries the whole line.
If you meant for dipping use the spray bomb Testors acrylic not the bottle.
Again the airbrush paint is awesome.

The guy at plugfest who demonstarted dipping to create a swirl poured paint out og the small Testors bottles, not a spray can. What is the difference in finish?

He used oil based testors w/ warm water. I believe that Wahlie & Orlando used oil based spray cans on water for dipping.

Flap,
Go out the Macy's entrance at the mall (that would then be the exit I guess) turn right, Centerline Hobbies will be up the little hill on the left by Dunkin Donuts. Shop is not much to look at but it is supposed to be good.
