Talking The New Rod

Picked up my Batson 965 from Saltheart yesterday. The man is an artist. Just a simple rod and I get a beautiful two silver and blue underwrap with a black overwrap, matches the amatek guides perfectly.

Thanks Fishpart and striperjerk1.

First time I ever used the Ametek guides was on Fishparts rod. The rod blank and guides came as a set as his third place award in a tourney. They look real good with the blue metallic colored inserts. I hope they hold up well. I did opt not to use the Ametek tip provided with the guide set. Went with a Fuji SiC tip.

Striperjerk's is a true classic , the Lami GSB 120 -1L Very popular , versatile rod. Its done up real fancy with a closed wrap that has gold stars on a black background. Its so classy looking you need to wear a tuxedo when you go fishing with it!

I took pictures of Strperjerks but they came out kinda dark. i will try to brighten them up on the computer and post some if they come out good.

You guys are lucky, his work is awsome. How bout some pics.

Ed be very careful with those guides, they break more easily than others. I know from experience I have them on my 1209. I believe I have a sic tip as well. They must really bring out the color in the wrap, I know they do on mine.
