Need Maine fishing Advice

This weekend I'll be about an hour north of Portland. I know the stripers won't be in but is there anything else I can fish for this time of year? And how would you approach it? I'll have access to a small skiff but need to stay around the shore and close-in islands. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

rock cod....

chunks of squid or halved green crabs. Find some good rock and you'll find your fish. The deeper the better. Push the envelope with that skiff, but please be careful

Thank you for that advice. If I have any luck I'll post the results. Hey, it'll be great just to be out there. Supposed to be nice weather. Thanks again.
