Saturday, I'll be sanding drywall and probably cutting some firewood, but the Thames will see me Sunday afternoon. To bad I won't be able to run out to the mouth to check things out, but there will be plenty of stripers and from what I hear blues and hickory shad.

Hey Saltheart, since your not up to walking, your welcome to sit on a cushy boat chair Sunday afternoon and see what we can do on the Thames. If your interested, let me know and we can make some plans to meet or get you directions to my house if that makes more sense. Right now I'm flying solo since most people seem to be in a tournament or refilling the cookie jars.

After working 3 straight weeks on the house we just bought.....
I am going to try and take Saturday night off and drag my bones out somewhere. Sunday I am going to switch gears and maybe do some crappie fishing. Forgot how to hold the rod, 3 weeks is pretty much a damn record for me NOT TO FISH.

No fishing , just hobbling around. Maybe take a ride and go leaf peeping with my girlfriend. Being hurt sucks.

Thanks for the offer GS. I'm not taking any chances though. Its just starting to get usefull again and I'm babying it for at least one more week.

Hopefully though we can get a day in next season. I'd like to go out with you. Everyone says it an exciting experience. Very exciting!!

Thank you for your concern Patrick. I've had knee trouble 32 years now. Had my first knee operation (and 9 more since) and watch them land on the moon from the hospital bed in 69. If it were locked or flopping sideways , I'd go in.

Heading out in a few min. for some fishing.
Tom. got some work to do and at night Mom has a night out which leaves me at home instead of hunting large with my plug ho
Sun. I may go on my buds' boat, don't know yet. Or do slave work on my day off around the house. Somewhere in the weekend I'd like to make some plugs.

Suppose I will refill the cookie jar (mine's always full, but I tend to keep it overflowing), so that i can go visit the Jersey boys next weekend......finish putting the garden to bed, mow the lawn the last time before the leaves come down, help the wife clean the house........is it next Thursday night yet?

Saltheart,

Time to make an appointment with an orthopedic doctor. As the brother of a former HS football player, I've seen too many people become disabled due to knee injuries. Don't be so stubborn, just go to the doctor and get your knee checked out. Hopefully, it's just a swollen but get it checked out man. You are still pretty young. Well, ya get around and fish hard an all. (my definition of young is anyone who doesn't let their age inhibit their actions)Don't want something minor to bite ya in the butt down the road. Please, go to the doctor. If you are willing to come to Fairfield, we have a GREAT orthopedic guy here. I seriously think he is one of the best in the country.

Feel better soon man.

I got the next two weeks to fish all I want...which I will do.If you see a tall dashing figure casting with flawless form that's not me.If you see a scurrying rat like creature furtively scoping you out do not be alarmed. It's only BM lookin for plugs.
