The further adventures of Flap & Stiffy

Well, we tried hard, we found bait along the backbeach and got a few wiffs of fish stink and saw some slicks yesterday then we finished the day in a southside eastern facing estuary and Stiffy got his first legal of the year on a spook no less. We caught and released a bunch of others.

Today we decided to walk some sand and with a heavy rain and east/Soueast wind and incoming tide we found them moving along a desolate stretch of sand. My first legal of the season and felt good walking sand bars and casting to fish ( they were not showing at all we just kind a ran into them for a couple hours and they the just left, poof!)

Well no more trout fishing, the gear got put away just now.

Sorry. We did a Pepperoni slice and Bob's creation thing, yum!!!!!

You guys did some nice work out there yesterday. Stiffy donated a tote full of debris to them. Saw one of your less experienced guys bury his Ford SUV. Others from your group were there to help him. His tires could have used less air.

Just luv the Red Barn!!!!!

Nice post, pics, and intel Thanks Steve!

I think I have the same rod Stiffy is using. Manufacturer rating is too high but a nice rod with its place.

Good health and family

Steve..Good seeing you on the beach. Feels good to get into fish again. I couldn't believe the bait on the beach. Karl you were so right about hard tires.
That was my Son in law that got stuck. Some people just won't listen. He was told to go down to 15 on that vehicle. Didn't listen. He was at 25 when I checked his tires after he got stuck. Dropped to 12 and he walked right out.

I found the X-Terra does just perfect at 11.5 lbs. Soft sand and I only track 3/4 of an inch. I noticed how deep the ruts were after he went by and thought Oh oh heres comes a problem!

Well now he knows and that is why they make you watch the movie no matter how boring you think it is after seeing 15 times.

Don, good seeing you and chatting with your wife. She is really nice, your a lucky guy!
