rod butt

The cross piece on my rod butt has broke (the part that allows it to seat into the boats rod holder. Do they make replacement butts? Is there such a thing as a slip on I could glue to the rod? If so, where could I find one?

Most any rod builder could replace the seat.

What kind of butt is it? Foam with a nylon gimbal at the end and that broke? If so just cut off the gimbal carefully leaving the blank there and buy an aluminum gimbal of similar size, bush with some tape and epoxy on the the blank. Simple to do.
