Extra hungry tonite so i drove down to get a cake. Heard on the radio that with the price of copper and nickle,
it costs more than a penny to make a penny and over7 cents to make a nickle.
Government may start producing both in steel. Even during WW II they only used steel for pennies.
Then to top it off, it was $5.29 for a plain 2inch cake with icing.

Hmmmmm..... I wonder, how much copper would we get if we collected all those pennies that are sitting in change jars, car floors and overloaded purses?
What are you guys talking about. Pennies haven't been made of copper since a way long time ago for the same reasons. It has been zinc plated copper for I don't know 30+ years?
