Excavation question

Hello,
My honeydo list has a brick walk way on it. I've got to dig a 1ft deep for 24ft x4ft + a 6 x 6 landing area or 132 sq ft.
Does anyone have an idea what it would cost to have that hole dug? If you know someone in the Pembroke area I might have some business for them if the price is right.

Thanks in advance for any info.

look into renting a bobcat for a day.

im not to sure how much it would cost but im sure it would cost less than paying someone to do it . and think of the fun you will have.

You can rent a terramite, backhoe for about 285.00 a day from rentall. I doubt you will find anyone cheaper.

Try this guy his name is Ralph, he is in Rockland 781-871-0501. He does trees, but he has a kubota, it may have a backhoe attatchment.

Thanks Specialist and all who replied, but I was able to push the project off till the spring, I argued that "the guy selling plows at the Marshfield Fair said it's gonna be a snowy winter" why would he lie?
Now I get to paint & tile the kitchen, yippee.

Fishsmith I checked with Ralph, he does have the backhoe attatchment. Feel free to call him when ever you are ready, tell him Mitsi sent you.

I'm North of Boston, but I use a local guy here who does bobcat work for $50 per hour. I'm sure you can find someone similar down there. This guy is a fireman and does the bobcat stuff on the side. It's cheaper than renting an excavator yourself and he knows what he is doing!
