TUNA...SWC

Headed out on a buddies boat. Fished the SWC at sun up. Trolled the contours, the notch, and areas east looking for a tuna. Then i pointed the boat to a spot we havent tried yet, but i have seen tuna other trips out. I was standing behind the rocket launchers taking a break from driving...when i say "i should not really be standing here...if a rod goes off you will get hit in the head"

JUST as i am stepping to the side the short rod goes off SCREAMING. This fish took a ton of line out. About 350+ on a fairly heavey strike drag. After 15 minutes i had the fish boat side. It took another 5 minutes to get him the last 10 feet up. Mike put a perfect gaff shot on him and slid him into the boat. My first of the year! About 50 inches...and REAL fat.
Fish hit a Tim Cronin orange/pink bar about 25 yards off the back in the prop wash. Also would like to thank the guys who were next to us! As soon as they saw us hook up they reeled in and got out of the way, AWSOME show of sportsmanship

Hooked up!

COLOR!
