Need PLUMBING HELP asap!

Guys, I'm without a shower right now and need help and would like to avoid calling somebody to come out before tomorrow morning!
I have one of those stupid temptrol shower valves and the little valve that switches from the tub faucet to the shower is totally broken and now no water is coming out at all, it only drips out of the shower when I turn on the water. I unscrewed the face plate thing and I can't see a goddam thing and have no idea how to fix this. Is there anything I can do to get the shower to work or do I need a plumber to come out and fix it?
thanks

OK, so I've talked to some poeple and it's obvious that a plumber needs to fix this. If any of you know anyone good that can get to Salem, like tomorrow, that would be awesome

Well, I've pretty much completely rebuilt one of my Simmons Temptrols - unintentionally, by the way - call a plumber.

It's gonna be cheaper in the long run, trust me on this one.
