Heard rumor of one at MV, otherwise it's a bit early. Labor Day or if it's an early year last week of August.

Very Little bait in Westport, I can't see us having a year like we did last year with the albies. Had to travel some distance east to find bait pods.

Was at MV last weekend and saw one break near Big Bridge which I believe was a bonito, but thats it and I think I've become pretty good at determining a fish by its break. Decent amount of bait around the island-sandeels and silversides, and even a rumor of peanuts which will hopefully lead to more bones and eventually some albies. With these fish you never know though.

Fished around the Vineyard Saturday and all the blues I caught were puking up peanuts.
