All of our sponsoring sites carry the c3, c4, and other models - the plain old C is not the reel you want or the star series - just not worth saving a couple bucks for

Are you guys saying that I should go with the 6500, that holds 14 pound line?? That's enough for chunkin for stripers??!! What if a big one gets on??!!

uh.. that is just telling you how many feet of 14 lb it holds, if you were to put 20 on it would hold a bit less. your best bet is to go and speak with don at weekapaug or mike at m&d's. you could even call them on the phone.they will be able to help you figure out exactly what you need for whatever kind of fishing you want to do. i recommend both of these guys.

thanks everyone, but I have decided to go with a Shimano Baitrunner 6500 spinning reel on a 7' Ugly Stik tiger for baiting/live lining eels, with a Penn Spinfisher 5500SS and a 9' Daiwa Sealine X surf series rod for my lure fishing.
You all helped me put this together!!!
