Guys gotta read this

I copied this from Rod Building .ORG site

Rainshadow and associates have purchased the complete assets of the Penn/Rodco fishing rod manufacturing facility in Santa Ana California. We have distributed most of the blank making machinery to existing USA rod and blank manufacturers, as we have all new equipment at our rod blank factory here in Sequim. NONE OF THE MACHINERY NOR TECHNOLOGY WAS SENT OFFSHORE..
This facility was managed by the late rod blank designer Bob Barrie, and the manufacturing expertise of #^&#^&#^&#^& Barnes. These two gentlemen dedicated their lives to the rod and blank industry since coming home from World War II, while working with NARMCO, Conolon, Garcia, Pro Rod, and Penn/Rodco. It is truly sad for me to see Mr. Barnes retire, but at the same time exciting to have the opportunity to carry on with the many years of efforts by he and Mr. Barrie, in adding these product lines to our Rainshadow offering.
We did bring up all of the mandrels, prints, and blank patterns, to our Rainshadow Rod Blank manufacturing facility. We will be expanding our saltwater series to include many of the made in USA originals by Penn-Sabre, Garcia, private label, as well as resurrecting many of the popular Conolon actions of the past, Skipper Specials etc, in a variety of lengths actions, and powers.
We will be ugrading these models using the latest in materials and resin systems for all of the actions, in our completion of this extensive saltwater product line. Many of these models were never made available to the custom rod building market in the past, as they were offered as "Private Label" in finished rod form only, and marketed by a variety of brand name companies in both fresh and saltwater.
As these models get worked into our production scheduling, we should have the complete offering available by early Spring of 2003. Included in this series will be the inshore, offshore, as well as surf rod blank actions.
We will also be putting into production the fiberglass Crankbait and Bass actions that Rodco had in their private label selection for many of the most prominent companies in the Bass Fishing industry.
