Tuna this week?
Looking at either Tuesday or Wednesday. Anyone else going to be out? Good reports from yesterday, except for a count of more than 115 boats out there......

The weather for the bank looks best on Wednesday. If it doesn't change, I'll probably head out also.

yesterday was a slow day, we got the skunk and didn't see many other boats tight, little talk on the radio, although in the afternoon there was a guy who cut his wrist bleeding out a fish and hit a vein, EPA was next to him almost and didn't respond to the calls he was making, in the end some sailboat out there had a nurse on board that made it to him, took about 15 mins on the radio though

CCBay, not the Bank was the place to be yesterday. Surface feeding action from north of Boston down to the Gurnet only a few miles offshore.

Any info on the NE canyons off of Montauk? Heading out on the Sunbeam's party trip on Saturday AM, and have been hearing good reports from the Viking and Frances fleets on yellowfin/bluefin/bigeye/swordfish... but the Sunbeam still reports that they've just been getting some albies and sharks.
Hopefully after they exchange notes they'll have better luck this coming week.

I am wishing I went yesterday, man what a day. Stuck at work, looking at the trees with no wind blowing through them! Anyone go?

Great day. Sea flattened out as the day progressed. We came home with a fat 56-57 incher. Conditions were perfect, but did not see fish on the surface.... I did see more than 85 boats out there, so I wasn't alone in taking a late season day off. (FWIW, I personally don't think there is a need to have lines in at first light this late in the season.)
