Question Does it matter?

I was wondering...when you bend the wire in the back end of the plug, does it matter if the loop is going horizontal rather than vertical? (vertical being the same as the front side)
I've noticed that with the store bought plugs I own, some have them one way, others the opposite way. So far, i've been making my plugs with the rear loop going horizontal, oppossite the front.

It may depend if your putting on a split at the end or tying the hook on direct

Might also depend on what type of hook, single or treble, you intend to use. For a single hook and ring, I make the loop horizontal.

The way I've been doing so far is by using a barrel swivel with a soft (not hardened) open-eye hook on the front. Like I said, in the back I'm bending the loop so it's horizontal. Then I use a split ring so than when the plug swims the split ring should run vertical.
