Let it snow, let it snow....
Hmmm - gonna be a decent snowfall, eh? they are saying 4-8 inches for my area in RI. This is from all of the "weather warnings", "weather watches", and "Storm Advisories"...
So does any feel that in the past few years, there has been a major Wussification in the weather warnings? Before you would get expect 4-8 inches of snow, now - dogs and cats fall from the sky

John -
I wuz listening to the weather guys on the radio this morning...likely won't be wussifying their forecasts.
The opposite is being considered...the weather guys are saying that if there is any variance from the 4-8 inch range, it will likely be ABOVE that amount rather than below it!!!!
Got shovel?

It seems to me that our local news outlets will use any means to get viewers to watch their “news casts”. Like grossly exaggerating weather conditions, remember last season’s “snow storm of the century” that produced all of 2 inches. I like the late night blips, your cat can kill you, story at 11. They have turned news into a joke. It is disturbing however, to see lines of senior citizens queuing up at the local market to stock up on groceries in terror of being snowed in. Shameful

I agree!
But... let me just mention that it started snowing here, in CT, about an hour ago. We have a "good" dusting out there now and it's really comin' down!
Come on spring!!!

Hey Jon - welcome to S-B... Hope you enjoy it here.
Are you the "Jon G" from classicseacraft? If so, do you have a pic of the new ride? BTW - Trayder hangs out here too sometimes
Thanks,
John
I agree about all the sensationalism about the news, but it just seems to be getting worse lately, especially with the weather... Right now there is a massive run on the Rhody stores for Milk & Bread

HA! I agree....hey its gonna snow...your gonna have to shovel so deal with it.....!!!!
My snowmobiling travels have brought me places where its 20-30 BELOW zero and with feet and feet of snow......but everyone that lives there deals with it!!!!!! I suppose no different that say HERE compared to more southern states when they get three inches and think they are in a "disaster"

having lived in the Southwest I can assure you it is a diaster. In Texas there are no snow plows to think of and zero sanding equipment. combine that with freezing rain and snow and inexperinced drivers and you have got yourself quite a show. I wouild compare it to boat launch theatrics.

Yeah John its me Jon G. Here's a pic of the new(74') sled. Its killing me that I just got it and it's time to put it away already. At least I got to take it out three or four times before the snow. It rides like a dream well worth the wait(long). I'm moving up from a 14' aluminum finally! I've got a long list to do to it this winter so at least that will keep me really busy. Great striper site! I really can't wait for spring now! Thanks Jon

Thanks Scotch, that boat just came from Charlston RI couple of weeks ago. As far as the snow I just checked out side and measured about 7", usually the Cape gets less than every one else, but its reversed this time looks like were getting the brunt of it, got the snowblower ready today just in time!

Yeh Scotch it came from Ocean House. It looks like the name on this one was on the back right. I buffed it out and didn't see anything else when buffing the sides. There were two SeaCrafts side by side when I was there and can't remember if the other one had a name on the side it was really raining. Another member at classicseacraft.com saw it and told me about it so I went down for a look and its what I was looking for. Bought it just before it went into the boat trader. Its been a long time coming and cain't wait for the snow to melt and the herring to start running again!
