Surprise Santa Print Giveaway

Boy it was hard to figure out a thread title for this one...and it's something I've been thinking about for a while now.

Up for a surprise Christmas gift is an 11x14 framed print of "The Gamefish of the New England Surf" that was originally done by Mrs Crafty and was exclusive to the old Angler's Art.

It's gonna be a raffle of sorts but on the honor system - all you have to do to enter is promise me you'll perform an act of random kindness for the holidays. That times are difficult for many people this year and at this time comes as a surprise to no one.

Anyway...maybe put some loose change or a buck in a Salvation Army bucket, or drop off something at a local food bank if you can - or if things are as tight for you as they are for everyone else it seems, do something nice in the Christmas spirit for someone in need who would otherwise be forgotten. Even if it's just helping out an elderly neighbor to make their holidays a little brighter. What you do is up to you.

It won't cost ya anything other than a little time - so if you see someone in need, help them out in the Christmas spirit - even if it's just letting some harried old geezer out of a side-street while he's trying to do his last minute errands all by himself.

And what do I get out of it?

I dunno...that frantic old geezer you let out could be me, I guess...

The random drawing will be at 12:00 AM December 25th - I'll post the winner Christmas morning.

All ya gotta do is say 'I'm in' and 'I promise'.

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
