abu question
couldnt end up finding a 7000CL for my brother so i think im going to go with the 7000c3ct. however, since he hates not having a levelwind, does anyone know if that option is available to be placed on that reel? kinda like how you could take the 7000CL and have the bar put on it instead..... was just wandering before i went off and bought a reel he doesnt even like thanks

I would just get one with a LW. If that's what he likes to use.

There are many Abu 7000-7500 size reels. The Black 7000CL is the best IMO and I assume that is the one you can't find but the Sports Rockets are also nice. In addition to the levelwind , look for a power handle too.

Mike,
You may want to hunt around for a nice used Swedish 7000. I have bought a few newer 7000's as gifts for my brother and a cousin,...and the quality is not as good. They work just fine though.
I have the swedish big game CL and 7500 two blue 7500's and about 4 of the older red 7000's. I don't care for the brass side plates on the big game series as they make the reel heavier. I put aluminum side plates on my 7500CL.
