Channel 10 news story "National saltwater fishing licence in 2 years"
Did anyone else see that story on the news tonight ? I thought she said $25.00 a year for a recreational fishing licence.

The feds have not set a price and until state legislation is passed and a price is determined any amount is nothing more than a guess.

The fed's have set a fee,if your state doesn't set up a registry on it's own by 2010 the fee would be $25-$50.

The story on 10 was a report on a piece of legislation introduced to the GA without any input from DEM or the Marine Recreational Fishing License/Registry Study Group. When originally introduced Rep.Malik was one of the sponsors, one down 2 to go. Stay tuned.

They will need 10 times what it raises in revenue to enforce it. I am sick of the bastards who want to regulate everything we do. I honestly have lost track of where they get the authority to charge a fee for every single thing we do.
Next time you go for a physical , breath very slowly while the doctor listens to your heart and lungs. I swear they are collecting data on individual resperation rates so that they can bill us for breathing.
But Saltheart , you breath the air at 7 breaths per minute , we have your medical records , you must pay a breathing tax of $1200 per year.
My GD phone bill is $9 for service but they add $11 in taxes. Imagine the taxes cost more than the service! I'm not even kidding about that one.
"National take a dump license". How will they enforce it? 10 cents per sheet of tp? No need to pay the license fee if you just remember , wipe with the left , eat with the right.
Dear saltheart , according to your stop and shop card you have purchased 7 boxes of Raisen Bran this quarter. Your toilet paper tax coupons indicate that either you have underpaid your taxes or you are now full of $%$%$%$%$. Please pay the enclosed tax bill , including penalties for underreporting of your "National take a dump tax" or let us know which political office you now hold which would explain your current full of $%$%$%$%$ status..

Salthheart is right. How are they going to enforce it? Its just another level of bureacracy that will be staff with some hacks kid. At least if its a fed. license we may not have to buy one in every state.

Nevermind,,, its a registry fee, but some states will probably institute licenses (to include the registry fee) but sounds like RI will not, they also list possibly fee exceptions, but even though the exceptions wont have to pay the fee, they will still need to register. So maybe it won't be too bad.
