New bassmaster plug!
After extensive testing, bassmaster has developed a new lure.....
All he did was whine about ho's today....while devilishly plotting to activate his anti ho lure device....

And the awesome Brownies(Just ask Chum!!)
Putting faces to the names and talking to everyone today just confirmed what I had already thought! This site has an awesome bunch of guys!!!!! Even you BM!!(dispite the fact that I didnt get to take that sweet needle home with me! ). I just figured Ho'ing on the first date wasnt the thing to do?
Steve, Thanks for the great deal on the Rainshadow blank!
Again, Thanks Bruce for a great time!!
Next time we get together hopefully it will be at the canal when they're biting!

By the way, if you guys noticed all the pictures around the shop with the circle crossing out the hand reaching for a plug, that was from Old John
His NO HO'ING signs were a nice touch, thanks OJ. and I'll let you know something, about the only one getting ho'd was bassmaster, the ho himself.
JohnR, thanks so much for spending the time to help out with the computer. I hope the wife feels better soon.
oh and Melissa made 3 double batches of brownies and you guys polished them off , that's 3 DOUBLE batches, I guess I know what we'll be bringing for dessert in Feb.

Thanks to Bruce and Melissa for their hospitality, and thanks to JohnR for sponsoring this incredible event!
It was a great opportunity to get a hands-on education on making plugs. Even better, a great time meeting some fabulous people in person - finally!
You guys make it look so easy. The depth of knowledge in Bruce's shop Saturday afternoon was just astounding - overwhelming, really. I must have looked nerdy taking copious notes.
Now...it seems I have to add a lathe, a duplicator, a band saw, a belt sander, and a paint gun to my collection of fishing gear. My wife is gonna kill me!

OJ - sorry you couldn't make it but look forward to meeting you the next time
No prob Slip. I'm 75% confident that that cable will be your elixir - but I couldn't test anymore without it...
I had to throw a quick post up earlier but now I have a few minutes:
First off, BIG Thanks to Slip & Melissa for putting up with us . The hospitality (and the brownies) was great as usual . It's always a pleasure and a great event when we all get together over there - even if Melissa's friends thinks we're freaks
Now the amount of Plug talent in that garage today was simply amazing, from builders with decades of experience to a few that turned their first today - simply awesome and my hats off to all of!
I'll throw up a couple pics tonight & hope to get to some more tomorrow if TheBetterHalf is feeling better (why I had to skip out early & mis Coddingtons)...
NO HO'IN!!!
Simply AWESOME:
Chum's Terminator Plug - all the way from Joisey
Just awesome:
SCHWEET!
The work on display today was fantastic - nothering else I can really say! The pics speak for themselves!

It's been said before, but I'll say again...
Exquisite, just exquisite.
These works of art not only catch fish, they snare fishermen.

Did Someone say BM Needle?
Habs,
strip it down and re- paint it to match that blue-pearl fade to purple/black and I'll take it!!!!
Better still tie him down and get him to autograph it and I'll take it that way!!
Bruce,
Maybe Melissa should patent that brownie recipe and go into business! "Melissa May's Brownies Inc."
Then the sign out front could read:
"BRUCE MAY PLUG BUILDER"

Thanks Bruce and Melissa for hosting the get together. You two are very generous to open your shop and home to 25-30 guys for a day. I enjoyed talking to everyone and left with a few tricks I learned today that I'm anxious to try out. It's funny how you get a mental picture of someone from talking online and when you meet them they're nowhere near what you imagined. It's nice to add faces to names. Thanks again to the May's for a very enjoyable day. ...mrpogie

I couldn't even think of getting those plugs wet, let along the chance of being mauled by a bass or god forbid a bluefish . They are works of art and they should be on a wall, not in a tackle box. If you must catch fish throw a piece of disposable plastic .

Definitely good eats too!
Who brought the spicy Portuguese sausage and pepper dish and the venison chili and the hot dog stew? Yummy.
Melissa's brownies, which I sampled for the first time, were fantastic, I must have snarfed half a dozen of 'em.
Which is why I'm lacing up the running shoes right now and heading outside for a run...

Slip it was an awsome time today. The chow, the people, the plugs all were awsome. I learned a few new tricks today.
Thanks Mr Pogie for the show on the bottle plug. Capesams for the blank. Goose for wrapping the 963 for me, and that chili was out of this world. Slip for hosting, and putting up with all the crap.
It was nice to meet some new people, #^^^^^^^^^^^&, Adam, FWW< Bud, Assinippi, Flaptail, VB, and some others.
Mellissa those brownies were yummie, I think I might have had about 10 of them.
