I didn't know there were so many professionals around either. Make plugs for 3 months on other people's blanks and all of a sudden you "specialize in wooden saltwater plugs".

Charlie I don't know what you're problem is but if you got something to say then take it offline ok?
Yep I been using the old Makati blanks for some plugs and making the rest on my duplicator, and have developed my own version of darters, swimmers, and mini poppers.
Got a problem with that? Like I said take it offline.

I don't have a problem with you selling plugs that you have copied. I thought it was funny that you could specialize in something after only doing it for 3 months. 3 months isn't a whole lot of time to do alot of research and design. No need to go offline with anything... you should be proud of your venture and look foward to defending your product, you get tons of free advertising, it's the least you could do.

Funny, I took the tone of that as a slam to what I was doing.
Didn't notice any freshwater stuff on my site, did you?
And for the record, i'm not looking for any free ads, i'm happily supporting this site and several others already.

That was hardly a slam. I was refering to the fact you could specialize in building plugs after 3 months. It had nothing to do with if they were fresh or saltwater.

I dont think plug builders should fight. this is why alot of guys come and go like Me screw plugs Im taking up Drinking coffee and Pharting with Habs.
I will Say If a Guy can fish and know what he wants in a plug, Then its a building learning curve.
Did any one see My popper all beat up from Blues and some Bass.
it was made 10 to 12 years ago and had screw eyes made from stainless and made from a oak dowell But it works...
and I saved doe not paying 7 or 8 bucks for a gibbs popper.
Sheit if I can whap a bugger plug with a hammer and not have the paint come off BTW Ill take one Then I think He is on the right track...
Take one of My ok plugs I guess and whap it off a rock and watch the epoxy come off, But Im a sand sissy
So C,mon Guys No wars save it for the Gutter where we can swear and stuff.
C,mon No wars Guys....

There's no war going on here, atleast I don't think there is, is there?
Charlie is just trying to make a point and voice his opinion of what seems like a short timespan that some go from novice to pro at making plugs. However the learning curve is so varied among people that generalizing is not necessarily fair. It seems Salty spends lots of his time involved in fishing and who are we to say he has only made plugs for 3 months. Krispy, how long did it take Tat to develop those dahtahs? Long time, huh? That is one plug that is time consuming. Some guys already are businessmen and selling plugs would just be another interest so they know some of the important things already about selling products., ofcourse if it's not really making money then it's more of a hobby and the IRS will look at it that way if no profit is shown after a certain number of years, just ask your accountant.
Ther are a lot of professionals out there, too many to count. Fishing tackle is big business, and these fishing forums make it known that lots of us obsessed fishermen and women are plug-a-holics, we can't get enough., gotta have some of everything for all the different situations. It would be too simple and unchallenging if 1 plug worked everywhere for all situations. So that is why there's romm for everybody to try and sell their wares.
I don't know where I'm going with this but who cares anyway.
It's a tribute thread to OJ, let's get back on track. He is the one who first posted a cup o needles and I'm sure he's flattered by others using that idea.
BM, what are you gonna do with thousands of plugs anyway?
Krispy, come out from under that rock
