Herring Runs

So when do the herring runs start at norwich and the cape cod canal and when do they end approximately? thank u for anyone who answers last year i got in to the end of the run at the canal but i want to know when it starts.

CT, there probably are already a few scouts but should pick up in a week or so.
On the Cape later into April.

Historically the herring show up in the Canal run on April 10. But they've been showing later in the month the last few years.

You'll know when they show up--the cormorants will be sitting off the mouth of the run
