Decades-long fight to protect Taunton River succeeds

the 40-mile long waterway is getting cleaner all the time and remains the longest undammed coastal river in New England, the Taunton River watershed supports the largest herring run in New England (up to two million fish will be swimming the river and its tributaries over the next 2-3 weeks) and rainbow smelt that striped bass and bluefish enter the river to feed upon.

did ya Know

that technically it only takes about thirty feet of creek sand to completely clean water.... or filter it...

so when you have this whole river flowing clean again is so great to hear!
