A Season on the Edge (Stories From a Surfcaster's Year)

by J. Skinner.

I just finished this and it was a very refreshing book. Instead of yet-another "how-to" bass book telling you what lure, what bait, how to rig etc, etc.... he basically takes you along for a season of fishing. As one who also fishes alone most nights I liked "virtually tagging along" with him as he makes his way thru his spots and the striper season on Long Island. It is funny how we surf nuts say the same things to ourselves in the middle of the night.

It runs a close second to Reading The Water, as far as I am concerned. Excellent read.
