Are they coming?
Went out tonight in SoCo. Planned to catch the 2 hours before low and 2 hours after. Got to my spot, and on the second cast a feisty 23 inch striper inhaled my rubber shad. Made a few more casts and decided to try something different. Clicked my headlamp and nothing (forgot to check batteries ) So my 4 hour trip took about 45 minutes, but started out the season without el skunk-o so however brief it was, it was worth it.

thats a better report then what i thought it was gonna be after the words "went out" and the question asked. was completely expecting a skunk story. i keep telling myself to get out there locally. but from everything i have found it's been a later start than last year. and last year i didn't even get a nibble till mid june. (i know i was doing something wrong. but i havent figured out what yet so no reason to think i'll have a clue how to fix it this year) so i am kind of waiting on the LATE reports of canal activity. before i even venture out. (unless those reports take two more weeks from now. in which case im out anyway cause i can smell cow patties when i.. errr.. smell em.) i wish i could put in the time down south and figure it out myself. but it aint gonna happen. so i can either spend my youthful weekends casting aimlessly on a rock for a heap of nothingness. or wait till some good reports come in from a couple miles south, and spend those same hours trying to find a girl.. guess which way i'm gonna go on that one..

Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!
Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?

I'll certainly agree with you on that, you couldn't catch a fish in a blitz or a woman in a whorehouse.......j/k
