I had jury duty at Wareham today
Got out at noon and swung by the canal herring run. 5 guys fishing . One guy caught a 25 inch small bass in the 10 minutes I was there.
Looked like he was using a white sluggo. I had my 85 year old dad with me and left him with a lobster roll and
some clam chowder at the lobster shack across the street so I couldn't stay too long.
This was around low east rrunning tide about 1:00
There were about 20 or so herring in the upper pool.

That's great news, I'm heading down this weekend. And the place across the street is the Seafood Shanty a real classic!

Fished the canal from 5am until 1pm. Saw 2 fish caught throughout the whole time I was there.
Dozens of people around, very few fish.

At the canal this morning. A few small bass breaking and chasing herring near the rocks but no heavy action. Very few herring in the run. I got skunked in 3 hours of fishing.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Some were catching but it was quiet overall. May have to take the boat to BB so I can remember what they look like.

My brother hit the canal this morning (took the day off) and got skunked. Didn't see anyone else catching either. Dead city...
