GrassHopper is Gone
David Carradine passed away from apparent Suicide.
Actor David Carradine found dead in Bangkok
BANGKOK – Actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" who also had a wide-ranging career in the movies, has been found dead in the Thai capital, Bangkok.
A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy, Michael Turner, confirmed the death of the 72-year-old actor. He says Carradine died either late Wednesday or early Thursday, but he could not provide further details out of consideration for his family.
The Web site of the newspaper The Nation cited unidentified police sources as saying Carradine was found Thursday hanged in his luxury hotel room and is believed to have committed suicide.
Carradine was a leading member of a venerable Hollywood acting family that included his father, character actor John Carradine, and brother Keith.

I was just reading about this. Sad. What brings a 72 yo with a fairly successful career to the point of suicide? I have some ideas, but reserve judgement or speculation until more detaiils are released. Sad news non the less.

Seems like you were onto something yesterday, BigBo. They just released the details that it might have been "accidental".
My wife was watching Larry King last night and they had Tarantino and Michael Madsen on talking about Carradine. I told my wife that I used to have a Kung Fu lunchbox as a kid and right then, Tarantino pulls out the same luchbox to show King. Damn, I wish I held onto some of the stuff I used to have as a kid.

We used to party while watching Kung Fu when in college. We had a ball. We even wrote a letter to the network and signed it the WAKFFA (Worcester Area Kung Fu Fans Association) and told them we wanted more episodes and more way out stuff like arrow catching , etc.
Anyway , too bad he's gone , whatever the role it was fun to see him and recall the Kung Fu series.
I hope no foul play was involved.
